About Our Service

Chap’s Automotive Repair is a mobile mechanic service based in the Cumming, GA area. We provide basic mobile automotive repairs, maintenance, diagnostics, batteries, brakes, and minor roadside help when the job can be safely completed on-site.

We are not a full repair shop and do not perform every type of repair. Some jobs may require a repair facility, lift, specialty tools, or advanced equipment.

Service Requests

When requesting service, customers should provide accurate information, including:

Vehicle year, make, and model
Vehicle location
Description of the issue
Whether the vehicle starts or drives
Any warning lights or symptoms
Photos, if helpful

Accurate information helps us determine whether the job can be completed as a mobile service. If the information provided is incomplete or incorrect, pricing, availability, or the ability to complete the job may change.

Quotes and Pricing

Any quote given by phone, text, email, website form, or message is an estimate unless clearly confirmed. Final pricing may change based on vehicle condition, parts needed, job difficulty, location, weather, safety concerns, or additional issues found during service.

If additional work is needed, we will communicate with you before performing extra repairs whenever possible.

Parts and Deposits

Some repairs may require parts to be ordered or purchased before the appointment. Depending on the part and job, a deposit or full upfront payment for parts may be required.

Once parts are ordered, picked up, opened, installed, or specially purchased for your vehicle, they may not be refundable.

Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for making sure:

They have the legal right to authorize work on the vehicle
The vehicle is located in a safe and legal work area
There is enough room to perform the service
The vehicle is accessible at the scheduled time
Pets, children, traffic, and other hazards are kept away from the work area
Any known vehicle issues are disclosed before work begins

We may refuse or stop service if the location, weather, vehicle condition, or situation is unsafe.

Mobile Service Limitations

Because we are a mobile service, not every repair can be completed on-site. We may not be able to perform work that requires a lift, major engine repair, transmission repair, welding, body work, paint work, tire balancing, alignments, or advanced shop equipment.

If a repair cannot be safely completed mobile, we will let you know.

Diagnostics

Diagnostic service is used to help identify the cause of a problem. Some vehicle issues may require additional testing, more time, specialty equipment, or a repair shop to fully confirm the problem.

A diagnostic appointment does not guarantee that the issue can be repaired immediately or that only one problem exists.

Appointment Times

We do our best to arrive on time, but appointment times may be affected by traffic, weather, previous jobs, parts availability, or emergency situations. If delays happen, we will try to communicate as soon as possible.

Cancellations and Missed Appointments

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Missed appointments, late cancellations, or unavailable vehicles may result in a fee.

Payment

Payment is due when service is completed unless otherwise agreed. Accepted payment methods may include cash, card, electronic payment, or other approved methods.

Vehicles and Personal Property

Customers are responsible for removing valuables and personal items from the vehicle before service. Chap’s Automotive Repair is not responsible for lost, damaged, or missing personal property unless caused directly by our negligence.

No Guarantee of Website Availability

We try to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that all information will always be complete, current, or error-free.
